Have Part I (pp. 3- 93) read when you return from spring break.
Night and The Kite Runner Project - Due Tuesday March 27th
Step One: Choose a common theme from Night and The Kite Runner.
Step Two: Provide an example in both novels that illustrates this theme.
Step Three: Create an ORIGINAL representation of your chosen theme (Remember a theme is the message, not the topic). Refer to the list below as you begin to develop your project. You do not have to choose from the list; it is merely a place to start. Note: This project should show attention to detail and manifest thought and hard work. Projects that are thrown together at the last minute will receive an inferior grade. (60 points)
Paint a picture Write a poem Make a puzzle Produce a film

Make an animated movie Compile a newspaper Design apparel Create a dance
Create a model/sculpture Write and perform a song Design and construct a new product

Step Four: Write a discussion of your representation. Within your response, be sure to address how you developed your idea, how your representation addresses the theme that is addressed in both pieces, and how the theme itself is developed in both works with examples. (40 points)
